Who I am

Simply Aligned Tech is the trading name of Dawn Morgan, who is self-employed (autónoma) in Spain. Address: Calle Cruces 23, Galera, 18840 Granada, Spain. Tax number (NIF): Y8785422B. Email: [email protected].

I am the data controller for your personal data. This policy explains what I collect, why, and what your rights are. I am based in Spain and work with people in the EU, the UK, the United States, Canada and elsewhere, so it is written to meet the EU and UK data protection rules (GDPR), Spain's data protection law, and the privacy laws that apply in the United States and Canada.

What I collect

  • Your name and contact details: email address, phone number and business name, when you give them to me.
  • Booking details when you book a call.
  • Your answers and results when you take the Systems Check-Up quiz.
  • Invoices and payment records if we work together. Payments are handled by a payment provider; I do not see or store your full card details.
  • What you tell me about your business in calls and messages.
  • Recordings of our calls, with the transcripts and summaries made from them (see "Call recordings" below).
  • Technical information from your visit: your IP address, browser and device, the pages you look at, and whether emails I send are opened or clicked, where your email provider allows it.

Call recordings

I record my calls using Fathom, a note-taking tool that joins the call, records it, and produces a transcript and a summary. This lets me give you my full attention instead of taking notes, and gives us both an accurate record of what we agreed.

  • Recording is never hidden. Fathom appears in the call as a participant and shows that it is recording.
  • Recording is how I work, on every call. If you would rather not be recorded, tell me before or at the start of the call and I will take notes by hand instead. I may miss something that way, and by choosing not to record you accept that.
  • Recordings, transcripts and summaries are stored by Fathom, on my own computer, and in my HighLevel account alongside your contact record.
  • I use them only to follow up on our conversation and to do the work we have agreed. I do not publish them or share them with anyone else, and I do not use them for marketing.
  • I keep them for as long as we are working together and for up to three years after our last contact. You can ask me to delete a recording sooner, or to send you a copy.

The legal basis for recording is my legitimate interest in keeping an accurate record of what we discuss and agree. I tell you before every call, and you can object at any time by asking me not to record.

Client accounts

When I work inside your GoHighLevel account, I may see personal data about your own contacts and customers. You remain the controller of that data and I handle it only on your instructions, to do the work we have agreed. I do not use it for anything else, and I keep it confidential.

How I use it, and the legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry, hold a booked call and send you your quiz results (steps you asked for, and my legitimate interest in answering you).
  • To provide my services and invoice you if we work together (our contract).
  • To send you my emails, only if you have asked to receive them (your consent). Every email has a link to unsubscribe.
  • To keep tax and accounting records (legal obligation).
  • To understand how the website is used and keep it secure (legitimate interest, and your consent for cookies that are not essential).

Cookies

The site uses cookies that are needed for it to work. With your permission it also uses cookies that help me understand how the site is used. A banner asks you on your first visit, and you can change your mind at any time or block cookies in your browser.

Who I share it with

I do not sell or rent your personal data. I share it only with:

  • HighLevel (LeadConnector), the platform that runs my website, booking calendar, forms, quiz and emails, and where call recordings and notes are kept with your contact record.
  • Fathom, which records and transcribes my calls.
  • My payment provider, to take payments.
  • The tools we agree to use to communicate, such as email, WhatsApp or Slack.
  • My accountant and other professional advisers, where needed for legal and tax purposes.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers are outside the EU and the UK. Where data is transferred, I rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or transfers to countries recognised as giving adequate protection.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries and quiz results: up to two years after we last had contact, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.
  • Call recordings, transcripts and summaries: while we are working together and up to three years after our last contact, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.
  • Client and invoicing records: usually six to seven years after the end of the financial year, in line with tax rules.
  • My email list: until you unsubscribe, or until I remove contacts who are no longer active.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or the UK you can ask me to: give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, limit how I use it, stop using it for marketing, or pass it to another provider. Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. I will reply within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es); in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

If you live in the United States or Canada: I do not sell your personal information or share it with other companies for their advertising. You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, and opt out of marketing at any time. I will not treat you differently for asking. Your information is stored and processed outside your country, including in the EU and the United States.

Wherever you live, you can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it where the law allows, and opt out of marketing.

Security

I use secure devices, strong passwords and reputable providers, and I limit access to what is needed. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

My website and services are for adults running a business. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

I may update this policy. The new version will be posted here with a new date. If the change is significant and I have your email address, I will tell you.
